like gas and bullets wouldn't those be easy to find there is gas everywhere and bullets. there has to be more gas and bullets ratio then there is alive non infected humans right.In the tv show the walking dead how come they are almost out of supplies?
I think it depends on where you're looking for ammo %26amp; guns. Everyone doesn't keeps bullets and guns in their homes %26amp; if they do (the average citizen) isn't going to keep a stock full of them. The only place that had them stocked was in the very first episode when the main character goes to the police station. The zombies are there are more likely to eat you than you are to find some place that's stocked with weapons. Would the risk of traveling to a military base or another police station be worth it if you 1) don't know if your gas can carry you that far and 2) if you can even get in to get the ammo and guns if it's there. So the risk might not be worth it.



And, like someone else said, there seemed to be a shortage of gasoline since everyone was trying to fill up their cars, and couple that with the fact that gas stations weren't getting anymore sent to them so they're bound to run out. It's not limitless. Gasoline is shipped in and sent on trucks to gas stations. If none is getting to the gas stations then the gas station will run out. You have millions of people trying to fill up their cars and no way for gas stations to get more gasoline... Supply %26amp; demand and the supply ran out while the demand was still high.

This actually gets addressed more in the graphic novels than it does in the show, but since the show hasn't progressed very much they may address it soon. When the outbreak occurred the first thing people went for was guns and ammo. Also, it was less of a priority for the group because they had thought they were fairly safe where they were camping, so they didn't think they needed much ammo. *EDIT: Additionally it's only really Glenn who goes out for supplies and he can't find any ammo shops in the city that have any of those. END EDIT* The gas wasn't much of an issue either because they weren't planning on leaving. HOWEVER,

Once the infection broke out everyone was scrambling to get those things: gas and amo. since its all scattered its harder to find and the dead always get in the way
Yeah i noticed these things too.Gas might be a problem but surely they could have found allot of firepower around the army camps
