even though season 3 is already signed up season 2 has been a big disappointment - more like a daytime soap with people doing stupid and unpredictable things for no reason rather than Sci Fi, so don't worry about it you are missing nothing
Probably like 6-12 months after season 2 ends.
The first half (6 episodes) of season 2 just finished airing, and will resume with another 6 episodes in a god awful 2-3 months (sometime in Feb.).

Season 2 is not even close to being done. They have only shown 7 of the 13 episodes for season 2. They are on midseason break so the cast and crew have time to focus on the Holidays.
