Is there any secular evidence of the walking dead in the bible?

%26lt;%26lt; Matthew 27:52 %26gt;%26gt;

The tombs broke open and the bodies

of many holy people who had died were raised to life.Is there any secular evidence of the walking dead in the bible?
Heh no.

No surprise there.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;

and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

And the graves were opened;

and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

And came out of the graves after his resurrection,

and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

-Matthew 27:50-53

Reads like a bad horror movie script.

Funny thing though,

it says that the bodies arose when Jesus died,

but stayed in their graves until he resurrected three days later.

Must have been a long three days

being stuck in their coffins like that..Is there any secular evidence of the walking dead in the bible?
I always thought that the idea for zombies in modern media came from the disease of leprosy. If you actually look up pictures of suffers of the disease they look like walking corpses.Is there any secular evidence of the walking dead in the bible?
If you mean in the sense of "Night of the Living Dead" and zombies saying "BRAINNZZZ!!!", then no.

The people you are describing were resurrected like Jesus, not reanimated like a zombie.
