What is "The Walking Dead" television series aspect ratio supposed to be?

I ask because I'm seeing it on my wide-screen plasma with black bars at the top and bottom as well as the sides.



Just curious.



This is such an awesome series for me since I've always enjoyed being a " ...Living Dead" fan for many many years. I was wondering when this finally comes to blu-ray will it be anamorphic wide-screen or still this 4:3 that I'm seeing.

Are you watching it on an HD channel? When I had bright house all of the HD channels bars like that, idk why though, maybe it's because it has better quality that way?? On another note, isn't the series awesome? I'm not sure why no one thought of a TV series with zombies years ago. Then again maybe they needed a good base, instead of a continuation for a movie, they needed a comic book series because it has that same long time frame you know?
